What the EI Committee Does and Does Not Do

The Committee Does:

• Organize annual climate survey, collect results and share with the department
• Organize town hall meeting with CALS DEI on Friday @ 4 regarding continuity of EI work
• Organize EI-related presentations and trainings for the department
• Organize social activities for cultural awareness and community building
• Handle informal complaints via the informal reporting form
  • Delegate cases to chair, college, or other units as needed

The Committee Does Not:

• Handle formal grievances or complaints
• Circumvent the formal process
• Take sides
