Hi, everyone. We're having a workshop on Romanian dances from
Bonchida (Transylvania) in St. Louis on Nov. 13-15, 2009. We hope
to see you there.
The emphasis will be on the Invirtita and the Romanian
Csardas. If you're not familiar with the Invirtita, this is a
slow, beautiful dance with great music. It's very popular in
Budapest dance houses; most American dancers love it as well.
Unfortunately, it's not often taught here, so this is a rare
opportunity to learn it.
I have attached an announcement for more information, or
you can visit our Web site at www.StLouisFolkdance.org .
Sorry, some of you will receive this announcement more
than once. Some of you may even be getting sick of these notices.
:-) (I'm
new at this, and I'm merging a bunch of lists.) Some of you may
not even be interested, although I can't imagine why. Or some of
you may already be in Transylvania, and are not about to turn
back. Heck, some of you may not even exist, and you know who you
are! If any of that describes you, just write back and I'll sadly
drop you from our e-mail list.
Sincerely,
Rex Couture
