FTP Server

The following information is available below for your reference.

The Linden LAN operates FTP services into it's file servers. Any FTP cleint can be used to connect to the system. Use your LAN ID and password to authenticate. Once connected you will be located in your HOME folder on the server that serves your department -- as follows:

  • Plant Pathology connect to plantpath.wisc.edu
  • Entomology connect to entomology.wisc.edu
  • Nutritional Sciences connect to nutrisci.wisc.edu

As of July 2004 you may connect to the file system from any Web Browser using a system called NetStorage.

  • Simply browse to the following web site and enter your LAN Id and Password: https://gwia.pen.wisc.edu/NetStorage/
  • You will be presented with the same network drives you see when logged in to a Windows machine VIA the Netware Client.
