own risk.
You can download Novell
NetDrive 4.1 here. (5.36 M) After
downloading it, please follow the prompts and install
the software. After restarting, there should
be an icon for NetDrive in your system tray. Double
click on it. (In Windows XP, it may be hid,
so you may need to first expand the system tray.) This
should open the connection settings dialog. (Screen
shot, 47.2k) Click on the "New Site" button. A
new window will appear. Enter any name you
want to call the new connection in the top box. (I
chose "LindenLAN".) Enter "https://gwia.pen.wisc.edu/oneNet/NetStorage/" in
the second box. Then click "Finish". You
should now have a new connection in the left-hand
icon area. Its settings will be reflected
on the right. You will want to change a couple
of these. First, uncheck the "Anonymous/Public
Logon" checkbox and enter your network username. By
default, it will save your password. If you
prefer not to have this, uncheck the box to the
right of the username and password entry boxes
that says "Save Password". In the
middle of the right hand side, there should be
a dropdown menu called "Drive:". Set
this to any free drive letter you like. Here's
a screen shot of an example
configuration. (54.9 k)
Finally, to connect to the server,
click on the "Connect" button in the upper
right hand corner. You will be prompted to
enter your password unless you entered it in the
connection settings dialog. You will then be
shown a window of your newly mapped drive. You
can access this just like any other drive on your
computer.
There are a couple ways to disconnect
the drive from your computer.
1. Right click on the NetDrive icon in your system tray, select the drive and
then select "Disconnect".
2. Right click on the drive in an explorer window, select "Disconnect" or "NetDrive" and
then "Disconnect".
