installing groupwise

windows client

  1. Browse to http://plantpath.wisc.edu/software/Groupwise/Windows/
  2. Click on "GroupWise_7_0_1_10.exe" -- or click here
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions until the client has finished installing.
  4. To start the Windows client, click the GroupWise icon on your desktop.

linux client

  1. Browse to http://plantpath.wisc.edu/software/Groupwise/Linux/
  2. In a terminal window at your Linux workstation, change to the directory where you downloaded the client, then use the following commands to uncompress and untar the downloaded file:

    gzip -d gw700lnxc.tar.gz
  3. In the same terminal window, become root by entering su and the root password.
  4. Enter rpm -Uhf novell-groupwise-gwclient-7.0-20050803.i386.rpm.
  5. To start the Cross-Platform client after installation, click the GroupWise icon on your Linux desktop.

macintosh client

  1. Browse to http://plantpath.wisc.edu/software/Groupwise/Mac_OS/
  2. Click the gw701cmace.dmg file to download and install the Macintosh client.
  3. To start the Cross-Platform client, click the GroupWise icon on your Macintosh desktop.
