Create a Rule for Spam
NOTE: These instructions are for adding a filter to automatically move incoming email messages that have been tagged by the gateway as [SPAM... After Groupwise Version 6.5 SPAM messages are automatically placed in the Junk Mail folder so this rule is no longer necessary. These instructions can be adapted for other tagged messages (eg. '(blocked)' and '(virus)'.

- Click on 'Tools' and select 'Rules.'
- Click on 'New...'.
- Type in a rule name.
- Check the 'Received' box.
- Click on the 'Define Conditions' button.
- Select "Subject" "begins with" from the
dropdown menus and type '[SPAM' to define the character string;
and OK
to accept.
- Click on the 'Add Action' button and add two different
actions:
- 'Move To Folder .' and select "Junk Mail"
- Mark as Read -- (Optional) this will prevent any POP
connection from reading this message.
- Click on 'Save.'
