(NAH-road-no),
n. [slavic]
- 1. of the people
- 2. a non-profit dance troupe from Madison, Wisconsin
established
in 1980.
Narodno! performs at a wide variety of functions including Festivals,
concerts,
and weddings in Wisconsin and surrounding states.
Our members share a special love of ethnic dances and cultures from
Eastern Europe. Many of us have studied and traveled throughout Eastern
Europe, collecting authentic costumes and dances.
To maintain authenticity and expand our repertoire, we have worked
with world-renowned professional choreographers. Narodno! is open to
the community, who strive to keep folk traditions
from Eastern Europe alive in the Midwest through our dancing.
